Classes at CEDEI -- Types and Schedules

Below is a description of the type of courses CEDEI has and at what time they are generally held.

Distribution of Levels

▪  101 to 104  Beginner levels
▪  201 to 204  Intermediate levels
▪  301 to 304  Advanced levels
▪  400 levels - writing courses 

New students must take a placement test to be placed correctly in the different levels offered by CEDEI. The placement test covers all language skills and is administered by an English teacher.

Types of Classes

Children's Classes:
▪  10-week course (40 hours of instruction)

Teen & Adult Classes:
▪  10-week course and 5-week courses (50 hours of instruction)
▪  Speaking/Listening course (intensive 30-hour course),
▪  Saturday courses (intensive 36-hour course, 9 Saturdays)

Schedules

Generally Adults
▪  7-8am Mon-Fri                
▪  4:30-5:45pm Mon-Thurs             
▪  6-7:15pm Mon-Thurs             
▪  7:30-8:45pm Mon-Thurs           

Generally Teenagers
▪  3-4:15pm Mon-Thurs    
▪  4:30-5:45pm Mon-Thurs
▪  6-7:15pm Mon-Thurs 

Children (only these hours)
▪  3-4pm Mon-Thurs
▪  4:30-5:30pm Mon-Thurs

Saturday Classes
▪  8:30am - 12:30pm (9 Saturdays)

Intensives - 5 weeks Monday through Friday
   ▪ 9:00 - 11:00 am
   ▪ 11:30 - 1:30 pm
   ▪ 3:00 - 5:00 pm
   ▪ 6:00 - 8:00 pm
